  • Andersen had 3 generations of hinges:
  • 1. 1989-1991: The original style hinges had one hole in the center of the tab.
  • 2. 1992 to November 2005: The 2nd generation of hinges had two holes.
  • 3. November 2005 to present: The current hinges have a large hub on the back of the receiver. The current style is NOT a direct swap for older styles.
  • The first two generations of Andersen hinges are interchangeable, but installing the present hinges requires mortising and comes with a template.
