  • Andersen had 3 generations of hinges:
  • 1. 1989-1991: These hinges had one hole in the center of the tab.
  • 2. 1992 to November 2005: This generation had two holes.
  • 3. November 2005 to present: These hinges are totally different and require modification if being used to replace older hinges.
  • The first two generations of Andersen hinge are interchangeable, but installing the present hinges requires enlarging the receiver hole and routing the door panel (See the first article below).
